The Usher/Greeter Ministry exists to serve and protect the interests of God, the presbytery, leadership and congregants (in love). To make sure that the environment is safe to the extent possible. To prepare the sanctuary and/or other parts of the building for worship and/or other ministry activities.
As with the Ministers of Helps and Hospitality, this ministry team is founded upon the principle of service and support. For many, Greeters provide the first, and many times one of the most lasting impressions of their experience at The Well. Greeters display and exude the personality of The Well. This is a “house” unto Him where His presence is manifest in all that we do. Our Greeters carry with them the honor and responsibility of representing The Well in this fashion to all who enter. Their ability to meet and greet with joy and love in their heart is essential. They must know The Well, know its vision and mission and they must have made it their own.
Ushers serve to provide order and control in the main sanctuary and any other part of the church facility where individuals may be. They provide security, manage the flow of large numbers of people, are trained and equipped to provide support and handle emergencies, and desire that God’s vision and our appointed mission are fulfilled during any and all gatherings at The Well.
